Owen Monkshood
Product information "Owen Monkshood"
Monkshoods probably developed in Byzantium around the 11th century and quickly became one of the predominant helmet types in Europe. It was quick to make and protected well against blows from above, i.e. from the horse. Many infantrymen from different regions wore this helmet.
The "Owen" monkshood is equipped with a wide brim that offers the wearer protection from sun and rain. The face and neck are free, allowing the wearer to hear well, breathe freely and maintain a clear view - all without neglecting the protection of the skull.
The three beads on the helmet bell also stiffen the metal. The helmet has a foam lining and a leather chin strap.
